Beef Stew GSI Pressure Cooker

This recipe has been modified for the GSI Halulite 2.7L/3Qt pressure cooker.

Ingredients

  • 1 lbs Stew Meat
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 small onion, thawed= 1 Tbsp. onion powder
  • ¼ tsp. celery seeds
  • ⅛ tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/4tsp. ground white pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 large carrots, peeled and cut into large chunks
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup green peas or green beans (Optional)

Directions

Step 1
  • Add 1Tbsp of oil to the pan and Brown Stew Meat
Step 2
  • Add the rest of the ingredients, Except for the flour and green beans or peas, into the pressure cooker. Close and lock the lid.
Step 3
  • Turn the heat up to high. When cooker reaches pressure, lower the heat to the minimum needed to maintain the pressure. Cook for 10-15 minutes.
Step 4
  • Remove from the heat and allow the pot to sit for 10-20 minutes before carefully releasing any residual pressure.
Step 5
  • Sprinkle in the flour and stir well. Add the peas and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes, or until desired thickness is reached, and serve.
