Madam Glam Peel off Gel Polish-Epic FAIL!!
Update: 1/1/22: I am doing another test run with the madam glam peel off base coat and top coat, results TBA. I am using different brand color and glitter gels.
End of Day #2. Game OVER! An entire nail Polish just popped right off my middle finger! I had such high hopes for this working but it let me down AGAIN!
Test #1.
I hope everyone has seen my in-depth experience and review with this company and if not go read it before making a purchase.
- Gel peel off base coat
- Gel polish – Girl Power
- Gel no wipe top coat – Day #2
- Gel matte top coat – Day #2
This is a 5 day wear test!
Instructions & Curing time:
- Apply Base Coat
- 1 coat for a perfect effect
- 2 minutes by UV Lamp, 30 sec by LED
- Apply any colors after this and cure it regularly
- No other base coat is needed
Day #1
I am madly in love with this color!
Oops… 3 hours later I found myself making cookies and the peel off gel nail Polish popped off.
The cookies turned out great!
So I redid my gel polish and only a few hours later I had tip chipping and wear that had to be touched up and I recapped my manicure.
Ok Complete FAIL!! My left hand index nail completely popped off while watching tv! I redid it and will see how long I can get this manicure to last but it could be breaking apart because of the IBD gel top coat so the next nail polish to pop off I will redo with one of the Madam Glam top coats.
Day #2
AM: Three of my fingers polish’s came off from zero activity. So I took this opportunity to use the matte and gloss top coats.
First impression: the madam glam girl power smells like kids bubble gum with a sweet smell. It requires two coats to achieve the true color and is tacky/gooey, this means a top coat is required. I noticed that if I capped my tips and then painted the nail bed that the polish from my tip would evaporate. Eventually I figured out to cap my tips as the last step before curing.
100% FAIL
I will not survive 5 days with this base coat. So I am calling this a complete FAIL! DO NOT buy the Madam Glam Peel off gel base coat.
By mid afternoon I declared this experiment over!
While I was changing to get ready to go for a walk a polish popped off. When I got home from my walk another fingers polish popped off! Then just a moment ago my finger nail just barely caught the edge of something and popped off the polish! Low and behold another nail polish completely pops off. I have redone the nails that popped off using only 100% Madam Glam product but I don’t expect this to last me more than a few hours to 24 hours max. I had better results using regular lacquer base, polish, and a gel top coat. With the lacquer base coat foundation I got a solid 48-72 hours of wearability before chipping and lifting started occurring.
Day #3
I do plan to revisit this test run at a later date. Someone suggested a few tips to try and help prolong my color and base coat.
Tips: only paint the top middle of the nail bed and not the sides near the skin.
