Toyota RAV4 Prime XSE Premium Package

Things I noticed that no one bothered to mention anywhere online. No YouTube videos, no rav4 world forum posts, no Facebook archives posts.

#1. Only one person can register as the owner via the Toyota app and if there are 2 drivers they both need to use the same login ID and password for the app. DO NOT create separate logins for each driver as this will cause the vehicle to refuse to sync with the phones app.

#2. The apple CarPlay needs to be set via the cellular device not the vehicle multimedia set up.

#3. The memory seat function auto defaults to #1 every single time the vehicle is powered off. So this was annoying for my husband who is taller than me and getting into the vehicle with the seat reverting back to my saved settings. So we switched memory seat settings.

#4. The multimedia screen is cumbersome and can not easily be powered off by the one and only knob on the screen that has a power icon next to it. In fact when pressing the button the entire system simply power cycles and reboots. The only way to power down the multimedia screen is by going through settings and this feels very outdated.

#5. The vehicle does not have a memory setting so each time the vehicle is powered off all vehicle settings revert back to default and this includes the multimedia screen. This has created issue for owners wanting their last used settings like using the radio would save.

#6. This is quirky and I doubt many people would ever notice. The vehicle auto locks all of the doors when shifted out of park. This is a hassle for us as as the passenger has to exit or enter the vehicle after it has been pulled out of the carport or garage. this can be changed using the multimedia console.

#7. The rear Power inverter AC 120v switch has been relocated from the lower left button switch console over to the previously blank spot under the passenger AC/sync controls to the right of the passenger heated and cooled seat button.

#8. The marketing and advertising all boast about being able to store the rear cargo cover with the spare tire. However this is the farthest from the truth. There is zero room to store that cover with the spare tire!

#9. The OEM roof racks are curved. This curve is enough to make mounting any bike racks and snowboard carriers off kilter. 💔

#10. The vehicle is larger than our 2006 Audi avant station wagon but some how suffers from a severe loss of usable storage capacity.
