So is Flextail a legitimate company? First 🚩 is that I could not find a US based customer service phone number.

The second problem ⚠️ take a screen shot of the confirmed purchase with the item description and order number because the email confirmation does not contain any item specific detailed information. In fact the email confirmations are vague at best.

Here is an emailed purchase receipt confirmation which is lacking any pertinent item descriptive terms whatsoever.

Return Policy

Flextail Return Policy is 7 days. This excludes US consumers protected legal rights to correct goods and services and what that means is if the company does a bait and switch where they sell you one thing but send something different then consumers have legal recourse beyond the flextail 7 day return window! However to show good faith effort as a consumer please make sure and file any product complaints within the 7 day window.

A return policy only extends to products that consumers receive and for whatever reason they decide they no longer wish to own the item. However if the item, goods, or services are defective or the incorrect item all together then this falls beyond the basic legal return policy and falls under protected consumer rights such as lemon laws, false marketing and advertising laws, and fraud. This also means that companies are 100% required to pay for any return shipping on defective or incorrect items.

Flextail is Unethical

So I made a purchase for the large size mosquito repellent pads. I thankfully took a screen shot of the purchase order page on the website. The item I received was a bait and switch and when I notified Flextail of this issue via their email correspondence I was informed that the product page would be updated to reflect “out of stock” and that if consumers made the mistake of continuing to purchase the out of stock item then they too would fall victim to receiving a different product of the smaller mosquito repellent pads without consumers knowledge or consent!

The product page was not changed except for a small sentence to the drop down section for “item description”. Otherwise consumers are still able to order and be charged for the purchase of out of stock merchandise.

Under US protected consumer rights I am not legally bound or required to pay return shipping when a company either knowingly or not sends the incorrect merchandise. So I offered to return to flextail , at their expense, the incorrect merchandise and informed them that I would be exercising my right to a full refund. They refused me this request and I had to open a charge dispute with my credit card company.

The lesson here is buy from flextail at your own risk!!!
